In the Spring of 2015, I had the opportunity to travel to Spain with the St. Louis Spanish Club after four years of Spanish study. Up until that point, I had never traveled much and had never been on a plane. We spent 10 days travelling around the country to different major cities with a tour guide. We also took a day trip across the Strait of Gibraltar to visit Morocco because, why not?
While on this trip, I experienced a different culture for the first time. We were busy from dawn till dusk visiting the Prado, exploring La Alhambra, watching Flamenco dancing, observing Holy Week processions, shopping in artisan shops, and doing lots and lots of eating. Churros, paella, flan, tapas! We couldn't get enough of the delicious cuisine! Spain is a beautiful country with a rich history. 10 days was not nearly enough time to take everything in. While pictures can never do justice to an experience such as this, enjoy the few images here. |
